Training for children’s ministry leaders and all who care about supporting the spiritual lives of children. Discover Godly Play from the inside out! Over 3 days you will learn how to set up and facilitate a Godly Play space and session. Friday 4pm to 9pm, Saturday 9am to 8:30pm, & Sun 9am to 4:30pm.
Doorpersons are key figures in supporting children who gather in community. This workshop offers a unique way to encourage and support volunteers helping with children’s programs.
This 5-hour workshop will be offered at the Anglican Cathedral in Fredericton, NB. Leadership will be provided by experienced Godly Play trainers, Cathy Laskey and Anne Pirie.
We will explore the principles and practices of Godly Play especially for Doorpersons, and deepen and expand an experience of Godly Play particularly the role of Doorperson. Participants may be part of a Godly Play program, and/or have an interest in leadership with children.
During the day participants will:
Deepen understanding of how a Doorperson supports the circle of children in gathering, listening, wondering, work, the feast and leaving.
Experience a full session of Godly Play
Participate in Discovery Sessions on Supporting a Godly Play Environment, Supporting Children in their Work, Relationships & Managing Disruptions
During the pandemic, several Canadian churches now live-stream or conduct GP circles via zoom-type platforms. Please contact your local church for more info.
You can also visit the Godly Play Foundation Youtube Channel or our Godly Play Canada Facebook page.
Finally, individuals or churches may wish to explore “Stories of God @ Home” from the Godly Play Resources website which are adapted affordable and accessible resources for families to be told in the home by the home.
We hope to compile a list of churches and trainers offering on-line resources in the coming months. Stay tuned!
